Three Princeton fencing alumni will take part in the 2012 Veterans World Championship, held in Krems, Austria, in October.
Jim Adams '61 will compete in 70+ foil (Oct. 21) and epee (Oct. 20), while Don Anthony '79 will compete in 50+ saber (Oct. 18) and Rob Pavlovich '82 will compete in 50+ foil (Oct. 21). The competition has three age groupings in each of the three weapons, including 50+, 60+ and 70+.
The fencers will compete in pools of six or seven fencers in five-touch bouts, followed by direct elimination 10-touch bouts.
Adams and Anthony have previously medaled in the event, while Pavlovich will represent the U.S. for the first time after previously representing Croatia.
