The 'Official' Siri Android App Tricked 1,000 People (GOOG, AAPL)

A Siri knock-off made by Official Software appeared in the Android Market for a few hours over the weekend, reports IT Portal.

It was installed in 1,000 Android devices before Google noticed and removed not only the fake Siri app, but all apps by Official Software.

There are still a few Siri clones in the Android Market, but FierceDeveloper reports that this one most likely got Google''s attention for unabashed use of copyrighted Apple content.
