Agency Business Consultant (PlanSmart)

Summary of Responsibilities:
This position will be the primary PlanSmart program contact responsible for providing direct support to assigned sales agencies. The Agency Business Consultant helps to ensure successful delivery of the PlanSmart program to Institutional clients through their assigned agencies. They will coordinate with Regional Director, Director, Client Directors, and Internal Consultants to achieve organizational efficiencies. This position will be responsible for driving program growth and sales performance.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Manage external interactions with ID firm management.
- Drive successful results in assigned sales firms.
- Coordinate interactions with Regional Director, Director, Client Director, and with paired Program Consultant.
- Coach local managers on ideal infrastructure, network participants, seminar speakers, and team selection.
- Coordinate and lead individual coaching sessions promoting PlanSmart best practice processes.
- Regularly review and coach for action around key performance metrics with local managers.
- Collaborate with Client Director to select, evaluate, and monitor seminar speaker performance.
- Identify training needs and collaborate with internal and external resources to drive PlanSmart sales in local Firms.
- Build and maintain relationship with local Agencies to ensure program success.
- Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required:
- Bachelor?s Degree in a marketing or related field, preferred.
- Appropriate licensing required: FINRA 6 or 7 and 63 with Life and Health licenses.
- Experience and success working in a leadership role within a field financial sales operation.
- Demonstrated experience selling retail financial services and/or intangible product/service to decision-makers.
- Experience with direct supervision of experienced field sales people.
- Previous experience and understanding of large institutional client needs and concerns preferred.
- Builds strong collaborative relationships in pursuit of mutual goals.
- Expert Program Management and problem solving skills.
- Strong written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills a must.
- Must be able to manage and track multiple clients/programs simultaneously.
- Communicates effectively; shares information and engages in candid and open dialogue.
- Manages own performance effectively and able to work independently.
- Ability to interact and influence across multiple departments and multiple levels.
