Overview: A high-quality International Baccalaureate School in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher. Preference is given to a certified Special Education Teacher with experience in a school environment with students from Grades 1 ? 9. This position involves attending to students from all grade levels and assisting them with their academic development within the mainstream program. This is an international school with state-of-the-art facilities and an excellent student-centered program. Position starts as soon as possible with a two-year contract (renewable on a yearly basis thereafter).

Contract Dates: August 2011 for a 2 year term

Qualifications required:

  • Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree (preferred) plus state/provincial certification in Special Education
  • Experience dealing with learning disabilities and dyslexia
  • Bachelor of Education (preferred)
  • Able to depart on very short notice and with a valid passport
  • Native English speaker
  • Minimum of 2 years experience
  • Teachers with international experience preferred
  • Preference given to candidates that are not traveling with dependents
  • Candidates must be under 57 years of age
