Job Description:

The growing team in Reading is looking to recruit a Manager in Financial Accounting Advisory Services.

Job purpose

* To be recognized as having the best reputation for providing high quality financial reporting advice by helping companies address the commercial and financial reporting challenges they face, both in the transition to IFRS, and in understanding and complying with financial reporting standards going forward

* The role involves both assurance and advisory and will include developing profitable long-term relationships with senior client personnel.

Your client responsibilities

* Providing advice to clients on first-time adoption of IFRS and ongoing advice on new standards, changes to standards etc
* In the longer term, providing advice to clients on general financial reporting issues and matters as regulations evolve
* Identifying new business opportunities and working with internal contacts to convert leads/opportunities into engagements
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior finance personnel
* Promoting Financial Reporting Advisory both internally and externally

Your people responsibilities

* Create a climate of high performance in the team take pride and produce outstanding effort and dedication
* Promote a good understanding of your team's goals and contribution, throughout the appropriate part of the organization, so that the team secures the necessary support from others
* Works effectively in cross service-line engagements
* Manage the capture and sharing of knowledge from assignments

Candidate Requirements:

Requirements
* ACA/ CA/ ACCA (ICAEW, ICAS, Irish Institute or equivalent international qualification) - preferably first time passes
* Degree qualified or equivalent
* Good communicator and highly articulate
* Experience of relationship management at a senior level, negotiating with and influencing senior individuals, both internally and externally
* A passion for client service
* A genuine interest in IFRS and financial reporting in general
* An ability to think laterally and follow things through
* Committed to business development and able to identify opportunities to deliver the best value
