Family safe after mobile home fire | StAugustine.com

A St. Augustine family was forced to leave their mobile home after it caught fire Tuesday morning, according to a St. Johns County Fire Rescue report.

When firefighters arrived in the 2900 block of Green Acres Road Extension, they saw smoke coming out of the eaves and the roof.

Two adults and three children were inside. All of them got out of the home unharmed, the report said.

Firefighters brought the fire under control in about 20 minutes, and damage was contained to the underside of the mobile home and the interior of some of the walls, the report said.

The Red Cross offered assistance to the family.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
